Launched in 2017, the REGIO EARTH Central and Southeastern European Festival of Earth Architecture is an international initiative uniting emerging earthen architecture communities across the region. Each year, these professional groups come together to offer several days of hands-on, practical learning. This format has evolved into what we now call a “summer school,” offering both theoretical knowledge and hands-on training led by highly skilled instructors in earthen construction techniques.
The primary language of the event is English, with constant interpretation provided in Hungarian.

PROGRAM:
REGIO EARTH 2025 Summer School focuses on CLAY FINISHES and DECORATIVE TECHNIQUES.
Our international team of trainers provides practical training over the 4-day period for participants with little or no experience, as well as for those at an advanced level. The course is certified under the ECVET European credit system and is complemented with specialized workshops in fine plasters, tadelakt and wall decorations. Participants will have an option to obtain the ECVET level 2 certificate.
In addition to the ECVET course we will provide short workshops on earthen architecture, such as adobe making, cob wall techniques, straw bale construction, etc.
Students of REGIO EARTH Summer School have access to all accompanying events, including the ECO-Home conference on natural building materials and the REGIO EARTH Festival at the weekend.
ACCOMODATION:
For accommodation you have two options: (Both are included in the price, but you have to provide your own tent, sleeping bag, etc.)
- Bivouac shelter (for 8-10 people)
- camping (with own tent)
You may also arrange your own accommodation individually in the town or other towns, cities close to Balatonendréd.
MEAL:
The fee includes the cost of three meals per day.
The chefs prepare two menu options, one regular and one vegan. If you require anything else, there will be a bar offering soft drinks and snacks. Of course you can access larger shops outside the town.
